Lead Auditor - Food Safety
Lead Auditor – Food Safety training course is one of the key requirements of becoming an approved or Exemplar Global registered auditor.
Exemplar Global recognition– our Exemplar Global recognition comes with 12 months of Exemplar Global Graduate Certification, including access to work styles assessment, webinars, events and other online resources.
It is recommended students conduct their own research of requirements needed to fulfil each type of audit that they wish to conduct. SQFI also recognise our course, so you are on the path to becoming an SQF Auditor too! Please see the extra information tab below for more details.
For students who have completed Internal Auditor – Food Safety with QMS Audits you only need to complete Lead Auditor Extension – Food Safety.

Students will gain a practical understanding of the responsibilities of an auditor.Â

Skills Audit:Â
You may also have to complete a skills audit as part of becoming an Exemplar Global auditor – depending on what scheme you are applying for. For QMS Audits to attend a skills audit, this is charged separately and is booked and paid for through Exemplar Global. There may be extra charges for travel.
Once all assessments are successfully completed, participants receive a certificate of attendance recognised by Exemplar Global.

HACCP Principles and Applications Training or HACCP Refresher training completed within the last 3 years. This is a technical course and participants should have working knowledge of food safety and the food standards code.Â
